Salt Lake Trip ... Abby and Chancen's wedding

Sterling and I were able to go up to SLC over President's Day weekend and spend a little time! We went up because two of our really good friends were getting married. Ster and Chancen (Hall) were roommates and awesome friends before we got married. They were a part of the "X-Club" together, served with each other as a part of the EQ presidency in their ward, and did a lot of crazy stuff all the time! Abby (Hirschi) and I have become really great friends over the past year and a half or so. We have gone to school together, have planned a lot of group dates, and have been in the Dental Hygiene program together for the past 2 semesters! :) We couldn't miss this life changing day, for two of our best friends! :)

Groomsmen

The girls

Yah, it was cold and breezy for part of the morning! ha!

Married man!!!

We decorated their car, and one of Abby's brothers and cousins knew how to hook up their horn to their brake. So every time they hit their brake to stop...their horn would honk! I think people noticed them the whole way to their honeymoon cabin! ha! :)

We also spent some time with Ster's parents and his aunt and uncle (and their family) were in SLC on their way back to California. We met up with them for breakfast one morning at the Little America! It was so much fun, and yummy!

Temple Square Visitor Center (SLC) ... This place made me miss my mission so much! ;)

Dinner at the Rio Grande restaurant with Chris and Kim! Ster and I ordered Fajitas and they were SOOOOOO good! (Highly recommended!)

Okay, I know this is random to take a picture in HARMONS...but the new Harmons Grocery store in Downtown SLC, is SOOO FREAKIN' AWESOME! :) It's so nice, and is 2 stories, and is sort of like a mix between a Costco (samples everywhere) and a quaint market-place! It's totally worth going to see if you're up there! ha! :)

On our way home...and stopped by Beaver to get some "squeeky cheese" and snacks for the ride home! :)

First Valentines as Mr. and Mrs. Coons

Okay...I don't have a lot of time to write, but here are a few pictures of our Valentines day!

I worked until 8:00 Tuesday night, and by the time I got off of work, Ster and I decided to bag the dinner date we had planned, and have a dinner together at home. Ster did dinner for us, and had it all ready by the time I got home! :) We had already planned to have dessert at home, so we just had a great night watching a movie, and just spending time together! :)

Sterling surprised me at school, and delivered this LOVELY boquet of roses, and chocolates! :) It was so nice to get a personal delivery from him! I loved the flowers, and felt so special all day! It's those cute little thoughtful things that make me happy!
He also bought a HUGE box of chocolates for all of the girls in my Dental Hygiene program too! HOW THOUGHFUL IS HE!?!? really! I've got a good one! :)

When I got out of school, I surprised Ster at work, and delivered this balloon boquet and some treats for him! (It's kinda hard to think of things to give guys on Vday...because it's not like you can give'em flowers, or a teddy bear, or anything...ya know?)

One VERY happy girl at the end of the day!!! :) Love you sweetheart, thanks for being my perfect match! You're the best!

Pneumonia

Yes, that's right folks! This pesty business has been at our house lately, and it has NOT been a welcome guest. I started feeling really sick last week, and the coughing and flu-like symptoms just wouldn't leave. I was CONSTANTLY shivering until my teeth were about to chatter out of my mouth, and couldn't get warm for the life of me. I was running a constant fever between 102-104 for about 4 days (I had fever blisters all over my mouth), and then finally went into the doctor to see what in the world was wrong. I had lost 7 lbs in 4 days and just couldn't keep anything in me, and felt totally lethargic, plus the fact that I was coughing 24/7. I thought to myself "if this is the flu...this is the WORST I've had it."

Well, it turns out that I had been living with Pneumonia for the past week, and he immediately put me on an antibiotic. WOW...WHAT A RELIEF! My Dr. told me that my symptoms would most likely last for another week and a half or so...but that I should start to feel the improvements. HE WAS RIGHT!!! I saw him on Friday, and by Sunday night, I was really starting to feel like a NEW WOMAN!!! :)

The actual reason I'm posting this, isn't to remember that I had pneumonia, but to send a little love shout out to my sweet husband. Sterling has been such an amazing help, and the biggest blessing to have with me. He has called my dad over, and together they have given me numerous blessings, he's stayed up late at night getting me water, cough drops, making sure my medicines are working, and NEVER COMPLAINING! He has cleaned the house, done dishes, completed multiple loads of laundry (even folded and put it away), and made dinners. I try so hard to think if the shoe was on the other foot...how would I act? I know I couldn't ever come close to treating people as genuine and sincere as Ster treats others around him. He has a contagious Christ-like love that lets you KNOW he cares about you. I learn so much from him all the time, and am really grateful I "married up" so I can try harder to be like him! I love ya Stud man, and am so thankful for the blessing you are to me! (It's nice to have your best friend by ya, to keep ya from feelin' miserable!)

Oh, and a little love note to my family! My parents have brought dinner over, my mom has done my grocery shopping and errand running, and my dad has been on "priesthood duty". My cute sisters make sure I'm being taken care of, and they all are so busy, but make sure we're taken care of. I am grateful for them, and all they do! (Jeff and RaCail...I'm glad you guys are better too!!! Relief!!!)
